Stone Mountain Highland Games - 2003
These are the photos of the gathering we had at the Stone Mountain Highland Games. A few photos down are the massive crowds we had at the games. |
Paul and Diana Hollis are not dressed up
to fool everyone, they are dressed up to get married! |
Here is Chris Clark, half of another Camron couple that renewed their vows with his wife Elaine, calmly taking a dram to cure his nerves and bolster his courage. |
Here you will see the three favorite
events in the lives of the Camerons and their Septs. |
This photo shows Reverend McCook signing the RENWAL OF VOWS for the three special Cameron couples. |
Here the three happy couples are
seen together (for the second time). |
I told you that a bunch of people were there. Estimated guess........ 50,000 to 65,000 per day.
There were Flaconers there. |
There were dog trials showing their abilities in herding sheep. |
< Also there was a "sheaf"
toss as demonstrated on the left, where the
"sheaf" was tossed over a bar for height. |
At the close of the day it's good to relax and be cool, not just cool..................... but COOOOOOOOOL. |
These are the shots at the meeting we had at our Presidents residence after the games. With Paul (Shown in the right of the photo on the right) is Don Cameron (on the left of the right photo) who is the U.S. President of Clan Cameron.
Here we see two of the happy couples gleefully having a late night "taste" of cake and a lubricating drink (or three or four or six or...or...or...). |
The Second Day
Like I said........ They're either eating, drinking or sleeping!
This is, beleive it or not, a seven foot long staff. It was made for one of the members by a man he was treating at a hospital (he survived). The name of "Cameron" was inscribed on it as was the crest on the head. |
Here the tent is manned by Elaine Clark, Bob and Mrs Clark and ?? |
These pictures show the start of the Parade Of Tartans. |
And to say the least there were bands from all over the country. |
